Regulation 76 Treatment of unauthorised absence
(1) An employee who is absent from duty without any authority, shall not be entitled to the pay and allowances during the period of such absence. The unauthorised absence of this kind, apart from resulting in loss of pay and allowances for the period of such absence, shall also constitute a break in service entailing forfeiture of past service unless the break is condoned and treated as 'dies-non' by the Competent Authority.
(2) The consequences of unauthorised absence from duty which is not condoned in any manner shall be as follows, namely:-
(a) No pay and allowances are admissible during the period of unauthorised absence;
(b) No increment or earned leave shall be counted for the period of such unauthorised absence;
(c) No gratuity shall be given for the period of interruption in service caused by such unauthorised absence; and
(d) Such period can be treated as dies-non.

(1) Every employee shall comply with all instructions issued from time to time relating to attendance, arrival and departure, the period and hours of work for different categories of employees or to an employee and every employee shall be at work at the time fixed and specified by the Authority from time to time.
