Regulation 11 Deputation

(1) The posts which are to be filled up by the method of deputation would be widely circulated among such Ministries or Departments of the Central Government, State Governments, Administration of Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings and Statutory and Autonomous Bodies which are expected to have people with the qualifications and experience matching the requirements of the Authority and willing to join the Authority on deputation.

(2) The selection of candidates for appointment on deputation basis shall be made on the recommendations of the Selection Committee: [Provided that up to four posts of Deputy Director General and up to two posts of Director may be filled by appointment of officers posted by the Government of India in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training on tenure deputation from the all-India Services and the Group ‘A’ Services of the Central Government participating in the Central Staffing Scheme operated by the said Department, by adopting the Central Staffing Scheme procedure, and for the posts so filled the recruitment method of Selection Committee shall not apply.]

(3) All appointments made on deputation in the Authority under these regulations shall initially be for a period not exceeding five years, which may be extended for such period and in such manner as prescribed by the Authority from time to time.
