Rule 9 Leave and leave encashment

(1) The full time Chairperson shall be entitled to thirty days of earned leave for every year of service.

(2) The payment of leave salary during leave shall be governed by rule 40 of the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972.

(3) The full-time Chairperson shall be entitled to encashment of fifty per-cent. of earned leave standing to their credit at any time, subject to the condition that the encashment shall be permitted only once during any calendar year for a maximum of twelve days in a calendar year.

(4) The President of India shall be the competent authority to sanction leave to the full-time Chairperson.
